Client Code of Conduct

Barnes Lake Veterinary Center is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment that promotes good behavior, trust, and respect for our clients, patients, and team. To maintain this environment, the following behaviors will not be tolerated by Barnes Lake Veterinary Center in our office or on social media:
  • Verbal abuse, disrespectful behavior, malicious comments, or profanity toward staff, clients, or other veterinarians
  • Spreading false, misleading, or malicious rumors or statements about the practice, staff, or other clients, whether in person or on social media
  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, or discriminatory or inappropriate comments or actions
  • Threats of litigation or legal action used as intimidation, harassment, or to pressure staff
  • Unruly or uncontrollable pets that pose a threat to people or other animals
  • Suspected intoxication or impairment of visitors
  • Attempts to contact staff for medical advice outside of business hours
  • Failure to leash, muzzle, or properly restrain pets when requested
  • Refusal to comply with or follow veterinarian or staff instructions
  • Late arrivals: Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule

If the behavior of any person or pet becomes a concern, Barnes Lake Veterinary Center reserves the right to discontinue services immediately, and the individual may be asked to leave. While we hope this policy is never needed, we will take all necessary steps to protect the safety, well-being, and mental health of our staff and visitors.
